Gate exam mainly test ur basics in ur 4 years of engineering syllabus…
So in 3rd year keep focusing on clearing ur subject concepts…
In the mean time, just try to solve the qustions of the subjects which u r reading in 3rd year from Gate to get an idea what they ask in Gate… for doing this even 3 hours per week wud be enough… (and thts easily managable :-) )
